Daily Appreciations BLOG is the new name for this section effective 5-30-09. How this section name has evolved...a little background. This chronological section was for all posts by participants. It was previously referred to "River of Appreciations" because the posts flowed like a river. You will notice the first River had more than 11,990 posts on 800 pages with more than 130,200 views. We appreciate all who posted in the first and second River here. When it became hard for people to find the end of the River to post their appreciations, a second River was started in this section. Then Mr. Ding Chien in Washington D.C. helped ABC start a website called River of Appreciations.org for preparing and training new volunteers for leadership and management of Allies Building Community Inc. (ABC) programs. Then we noticed some confusion, people were not clear which River we were referring to.

Therefore the leadership team of DailyAppreciations.net decided to re-name this section in DailyAppreciations.net and call it Daily Appreciations BLOG instead of River of Appreciations to avoid any confusion. RiverofAppreciations.org will now be referring to a separate website also co-sponsored by ABC for the purposes of experimentation, initiation, training and development of new volunteers for community service and to pre-qualify individuals for other leadership and management opportunities.

We deeply appreciate all the volunteer hours and contributions by Daily Appreciation ("DA") and ABC volunteers to uplift the energy of our community, locally and globally!  We wish to acknowledge the special contributions of Debra Hayes, Dr. Elizabeth Garcia, Marissa Garcia and other members of the DA leadership team. Thank you so much for your important work in creating and maintaining this creative and safe space for all to share their beautiful gifts of appreciation with the world!

Henceforth, to post in this section, simply click on NEW TOPIC (upper section right side tab). Fill in the SUBJECT line with your topic in response to the question of WHO or WHAT you appreciate. This subject will appear as a line in the index page.  In the blank space under the line of smiling faces, start writing your post, beginning with Appreciating (complete with the text and content of your post) and click POST.

After that, you can SEND THIS TOPIC (send a copy of your post, see tab located at upper right) to anyone you wish. Fill in their email address and send. You can send to many friends by filling in their email address and send. Thanks again for your important role in uplifting the energy of the world while you strengthen your own positive energy with Daily Appreciations!  Each post will be a NEW TOPIC in this BLOG. After you have completed 500 or more posts you become a HERO member (look under your name) and you will be attracting what you hold in mind even faster to you.  Thank you very much for your interest in expressing and sharing your most beautiful and loving thoughts in this Daily Appreciations BLOG.

Appreciating Brian Yang

Brian Yang has been attending, participating and helping to facilitate our 3rd Sunday Friendship Archway Alliance Meetup for Networking in Washington D.C. during the past 2 years. Brian has become a better and better public speaker and a role model for many of the community participants and ABC volunteers. Brian just notified us that he and his family will be relocating to Africa and the 3rd Sunday in July will be his last event for this year.

We will miss Brian in Wash. D.C., however we are pleased that we can still keep in touch through this DailyAppreciations.net website. Brian started a Daily Appreciations group in Linkedin recently. Those who are on Linkedin please join that also. We feel blessed to have enjoyed many happy memories of good times working with Brian Yang. We deeply appreciate Brian's friendship and his important contributions to the Wash. D.C. community! We wish Brian all the best in the next exciting chapter of his life in Africa! :)
